Dr Satya Ranjan Patra
Secretary, OOA
We, the members of Odisha Orthopaedic Association (OOA) are thrilled to announce the upcoming Golden Jubilee Conference of our great Association. This momentous occasion marks 50 years of dedication towards patient care, academics, and progress in the field of Orthopaedics in Odisha.
We have come a long way since the humble beginnings by our founding fathers half a century ago. Its a matter of great pride for me to carry their torch of scientific pursuit and try adding new dimensions to our academic journey.
Today, we stand proud as one of the most vibrant Associations in the country with our members making waves in all the fields of Orthopaedic science. And It is time to celebrate our path, our struggles, our achievements and this never-ending journey. The field of Orthopaedics in India is witnessing a paradigm shift in recent years with expanding Government Healthcare schemes and the ground zero shifting to the peripheral centers and our younger surgeons at the helm of the affairs. Therefore, it’s time to empower our young guns with recent advances, surgical skills, and rational decision making so that they can provide optimized Orthopaedic care to the helpless and the needy. The scientific program is especially designed by our Organizing team to achieve these goals.
Please join us one and all, as we celebrate this milestone with a grand event “Golden OOACON-2026” featuring renowned speakers, members’ achievements, recent advancements and a great time with friends and families. I extend a warm invitation to all to participate in this landmark conference. Your presence will enrich this golden celebration with a silver lining.
See you all at the divine land of Lord Jagannath… !!!
Welcome Message
OOA President
It is with immense pride and humility that I welcome you all to the Golden Jubilee Conference of the Odisha Orthopaedic Association, being held in the sacred city of Puri – a place where divinity, tradition, and serenity converge under the blessings of Lord Jagannath.
As we celebrate 50 glorious years of our association, we stand on the shoulders of giants-our visionary past presidents, dedicated secretaries, and countless committed members-whose tireless efforts and selfless service have built the strong foundation upon which we now stand. I pay heartfelt tribute to each one of them, for guiding us with wisdom and integrity over the decades.
The theme of this Golden Jubilee Conference, “Innovations in Orthopaedics: Driving Social Impact,” reflects our shared commitment to ensure that clinical advancement is not limited to the operation theatre, but reaches the heart of every community. In line with this, we are strengthening our focus on public health outreach, education, and rural trauma care-so that orthopaedic excellence benefits
not just a few, but many.
I commend the organising team for their outstanding efforts in curating this landmark event, and I warmly invite all delegates to take part in this celebration of knowledge, legacy, and social commitment.
Let this golden milestone be not just a celebration of our past-but a promise for an even brighter future.

Dr KR Mahapatro
President, OOA
